National Grand Theater
Designed by French architect Paul Andreu, this stunning glass and titanium dome structure that rises out of a sheet of water looks out of this world - as if an alien spacecraft descended into the heart of Beijing. The Center’s ultra-modern architecture is in sharp contrast to its neighbours, the Great Hall of the People, Tian'anmen Square and the ancient Forbidden City. The National Centre for the Performing Arts is far more than a spectacular and futuristic building.
