Baoding Mountain, renowned for its stone carvings, is a Buddhist mountain highly regarded by local monks. The mountain has 13 spots that contain Buddhist carvings most of which depict typical Buddhist tales and myths. The carvings are designed to resist erosion.
To get there: From the Caiyuanba Bus Terminal near the Chongqing railway station, you can take one of two buses that run each hour. The trip takes 2 hours. From the bus station of the Dazu county, minibuses takes you to Baoding Mountain which is 15KM away from the county center.
