Inter City Transportation
1) By Air
Dalian International Airport is also called Zhoushuizi International Airport. The airport is large in scale and modern in infrastructures. There are domestic flights to almost all the major cities in China, and international flights to Paris, San Francisco, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, etc.. The airport is located 10 kilometers northeast of Dalian city. Passengers can take a taxi from the downtown area, with a cost below RMB 10.
2) By Train
Passengers can take trains from Dalian Railway Station to Beijing, Shenyang, Harbin and many other cities. Dalian Railway Station is located in the centre of the city. There are bus routes to and from the railway station. Passengers can also take a taxi to the station, the cost is not high.
3) By Bus
The road system in Dalian is very well developed. The Liaoda highway, the Huanghai highway, the Heda highway and the Heida highway all pass by Dalian. There are six long distance bus stations in the downtown area. Passengers can take buses to almost all important cities in China.
4) By Boat
Passengers can take NO.801 or NO.13 buses from the downtown area to Dalian Port, which is located in northern Wuwu Road in east Dalian. Being an important city by the sea, the port in Dalian is very busy. There are ships traveling between Dalian and Yantai, Weihai, Penglai, Qinhuang islands, port of Tianjin, and Changhai County.
Inner City Transportation
1) By Bus
The bus routes cover almost all corners in Dalian city. Hundreds of bus lines make it easy for passengers to get wherever within the city. Also, there are three trolley bus lines running in Dalian city.
2) By Taxi
The flag-down fare for a taxi in Dalian is RMB 8 for the first 3 kilometers and RMB 1.8 for every extra kilometer. As the city is not large in space, the cost to get to any place in the city is probably below RMB 20.
