1) By Air
Datong Airport is located in the north of Bei Jiazao town, the distance to the downtown area is 15 kilometers. Passengers can take planes to major domestic cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou.
2) By Train
Datong railway station is important as Datong connects Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi ,Inner Mongolia by railways. The five double lined electrization railways passing by Datong are Lingbao, Lingyuan, Dazhang, Daqin, Beitongpu Railways. Also, there are more than 40 laterals and leased lines through Datong. Thus it is convenient for passengers to travel from and to Datong. Datong railway station is the special grade station in the whole country.
It is the most appropriate to take a train from the Datong Railway Station if passengers are heading for the northern part of Shanxi Province. Arrival to the north of Shanxi by train, the Datong railway station is still the most convenient choice at present. There are daily trains to Beijng, Taiyuan, Hangzhou, Baotou, Shenyang and so on.
