This hill, located north of Guilin by the Lijiang River, is one of the three most famous hills of Guilin (other than Fubo Hill and Elephant Trunk Hill). This hill includes the Yuyue Hill, Siwang Hill (View of all for direction), Crane Peak and Bright Moon Peak. The Folded Brocade Hill is named after its many layers of multi-colored rocks like a colorful brocade.
It consists of Yuyue Hill, Siwang Hill (Looking-in-Four-Direction Hill), Crane Peak and Bright Moon Peak. The hill is so named because layers and layers of multi-colored rocks one atop another like a great pile of folded brocade.
There is a cave, half way up the hill, going through the center from north to south.
It is wide at the two openings but narrow in the middle. It is famous for the 90 Buddha images made during the Tang and Song dynasty which are still visible after these hundreds of years.
Once at the top of the hill, you can see a full panoramic view of Guilin city.
