Inter City Transportation
1) By Air
Passengers can take from Hefei Luogang Airport more than 20 direct flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Haikou, Hangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Qingdao, Dalian, Huangshan, etc. The airport is located 12 kilometers to the south of Hefei city, with modern infrastructures. It serves as the hub of many flights of Capital Airport of Beijing and Pudong Airport of Shanghai. Passengers can take NO.11 bus to transfer between the railway station.
2) By Train
In Hefei, there are two railway stations: Hefei Station and Hefei West Station. Passengers may find it easy and convenient to take direct trains to the major cities as Beijing (12 hours), Shanghai (8.5 hours), Zhengzhou (9.5 hours), etc. There are also trains to other provincial cities.
3) By Bus
Hefei has a well developed road network, the 312 National Freeways and 206 National Freeways all pass through Hefei. There are 3 main bus stations in Hefei city, Hefei Bus Station, Feiyan Quick Passenger Station and Hefei Central Bus Station. Passengers can take direct buses to almost all 13 cities and 42 countries in Anhui Province from Hefei. Also, there are long distance buses to 6 other provinces.
Inner City Transportation
1) By Bus
The public transportation in Hefei city is quite well developed. There are more than 80 bus routes, passengers may find it easy to get to their destinations within the city by bus. The ticket price is RMB 2 for air-conditioned bus and RMB 1 for normal bus.
2) By Taxi
It is easy to hail a taxi in Hefei city, except for the rush hours. The flag-down fare of the taxi is RMB 6 for the first 3 kilometers. After these three kilometers, Xiali charges RMB 1 for every extra kilometer, Santana and Fukang charge RMB 1.2 during the daytime, and the price is higher of nighttime.
