Hefei, also known as Luzhou or Luyang, is a prefecture-level city and the capital of Anhui province, located in the central portion of the province, which borders Huainan to the north, Chuzhou to the northeast, Chaohu to the southeast and Lu'an to the west, as well the political, economic, and cultural centre of Anhui province.
The history of Hefei can be dated back to the Bei (Northern) Song dynasty (960 – 1126) as a small town with easy water transport to the Yangtze River and key connected the North and South China.
Nowadays, as a transportation hub to many major cities and a industrial city of textile mills, ironworks and steelworks and other manufactures.
