Inter City Transportation
1) By Air
Passengers can take flights from Hohhot Baita International Airport to almost all major domestic cities, including Beijing, Wuhanm Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chifeng, Hailar, Ulanhot and Xilinhot. The airport is located 15 kilometers from the urban area. Passengers can take a taxi from the city center to the airport, the cost will be around RMB 60. Also, the CAAC bus can be caught from the CAAC office, the ticket price is RMB 4.
2) By Train
The railway station of Hohhot is on the intersection of the Chezhan Street with Xilingguole North Road. 19 railway lines link Hohhot with many cities, including Beijing, Xi'an, Lanzhou and Yinchuan.
3) By Bus
The bus station can be found to the west of the train station, on Chenzhan Street. Bus travel is probably not the best way to get into the province, but is one of the better ways to get around. Buses head to most major destination nearby, including Datong, Baotou, Dongsheng, Tianjin and Beijing.

In Hohhot city, there are over 20 bus routes, covering almost all corners in the urban area. Passengers can get all their destinations in the city area with a low cost.
2) By Taxi
It is easy to hail a taxi in Hohhot city, the cost for a destination within the urban area is from RMB 10 to 20. However, passengers may need to bargain over the price with drivers.
3) By Bicycle
For a free sightseeing in Hohhot city, visitors may rent a bicycle, the cost is below RMB 20 per day. It is a good way to get deep into the local city life.
