Xilamuren Tourist Spot is situated in the north of Hohhot, 80 km away from the city center. Visitors can see authentic Mongolian yurts as well as a lamasery.
The lamasery, Puhui Temple, located on the bank of the Xilamuren River. The lamasery used to be the palace where the living Buddha of Xilitu Lamasery spent the summer. It was built in the 34th year of reign of the emperor Qianlong, during the Qing Dynasty. The lamasery is made up of three magnificent halls.
