By Air
Kunming Wujiaba International Airport is one of the most important and busiest airports in China. There are 167 airlines being operated. Passengers can take flights from Kunming to 57 domestic cities and 17 international cities and regions.
By Train
There are four railway stations in Kunming. Nanyao Station is the main one. It is located about four kilometers from the center of the city. There are daily trains to Dali, Yuxi etc.. The Ticket Booking Office is at No. 19, Kunshi Lu, opening hours is from 8:00 to 17:30. Two groups of inter-city trains between Kunming and Qujing have been put into use in 2007. The trains are fitted with the high-grade EMU (Electric Multiple Unit), making the journey smoother, safer and more comfortable. The ticket fare for the hard seat is CNY 20 and for the soft seat is CNY30. The entire trip takes only 106 minutes.
The North Railway Station is located about three kilometers north of the city center. There are trains to Hanoi at this station. Such trains depart twice every week on Friday and Sunday. Visitors to Vietnam may prefer to take this train.
By Long-distance Bus
Highways radiate from Kunming to places inside and outside Yunnan Province, as well as to neighboring countries. Passengers can take long-distance bus to Beijing, Lanzhou, Shanghai, Fuzhou and many other cities.
