Baitashan Mountain, White Pagoda Mountain, gets it name from the white pagoda that sits on top of it. It is a must-see when traveling to Lanzhou and is wonderful place to stroll, with green forests, scattered pavilions, tea houses, and, because of its height, to take in some good views of both the Yellow River below and the city beyond. The nearby Zhongshan Bridge was the old crossing point for travelers and merchants who were heading north on the Silk Road.
The mountain stands at the northe bank of the Yellow River and is part of the Baitashan Park, located in the north of the city.
