Lianyungang is the eastern end of New Eurasia Continental Bridge. It is one of the 45 main road transportation hubs in the country. There are three national high ways passing through the city: No.204 National Highway, No.310 National Highway and No. 327 National Highway. Along with seven provincial highways. The road transportation of Lianyungang is very convenient.
Intercity Transportation
By Flight
Lianyungang Airport, also called Baitabu Airport, is located 25 kilometers to the west of urban area of Lianyungang.
Passengers can take flights from this airport to and from major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Guilin, Hangzhou, Shenyang, Xiamen, Nanjing, Dalian and Hong Kong.
The Shuttle routes from the airport to the city center are: Airport - CAAC Ticket Office - Suxin Fast Passenger Transport Station. The shuttle buses are available until the arrival of the last flight. The ticket price is CNY20 per person.

By Train
Lianyungang Railway Station and Lianyungang East Railway Station are the two main railway stations in Lianyungang.
Lianyungang Railway Station is located in the urban area. Passengers may take trains from this station to major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Urumqi, Nanjing, Taiyuan and Guangzhou. The train journey takes 11 hours to Shanghai, and also 11 hours to Nanjing.
Lianyungang East Railway Station is located near the port. For passengers who would like to go to the beach, it is a good choice to arrive in Lianyungang at this station. Trains to Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing,
Taiyuan and Xian are available.

By Long-distance Bus
In Lianyungang, there are long-distance buses to all directions. The three main long-distance bus stations in the downtown are Xinpu General Bus Station, Suxin Fast Passenger Transport Station and Jie'an Fast Passenger Transport Station.
The address of Xinpu General Bus Station is at No.19 on Renmin Road, it is neighboring Lianyungang Railway Station. Passengers can take interprovincial buses to cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hangzhou and others in Zhejiang, Shandong and Guangdong Provinces.
Suxin Fast Passenger Transport Station is located 500 meters south of the Longhe Square. Passengers heading for cities in south China may take buses to Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou and cities within Jiangsu Province such as Wuxi, Yangzhou and Suzhou from this station. From Jie'an Fast Passenger Transport Station, passengers may take buses to Nanjing, Yangzhou and other counties within Lianyungang. This station can be found in Jiefang Road of Lianyungang City.

By City-bus
The city bus system in Lianyungang is not as developed as in other large coastal cities. About 40 bus lines run through the city. The ticket price ranges between  CNY1- CNY3. At night, there are few bus lines available. Most of the buses start around 06:00-07:00 in the morning, and stop running earlier than 18:30 in the evening, with an interval of about 5-20 minutes.

By Taxi
The brands of taxis in Lianyungang taxis are mainly Santana, with a few Red Flag and Jetta. The flag-down fare is CNY 5 for the first 2 kilometers and every additional kilometer charge of CNY 1.6. After the first 5 kilometers, the fare is CNY 2.4 per kilometer.
