Inter City Transportation
1) By Air
Lijiang Airport is located 20 kilometers to the city. Passengers can take flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Kunming, and Xishuangbanna. Passengers can get to the airport by the airport shuttle, the ticket price is RMB 10 and the journey takes 40 minutes.
2) By Bus
The main transportation in Lijiang is by Freeway buses. There are two bus terminals in Lijiang, the South Bus Terminal and the West Bus Terminal. Passengers can take daily buses to Kunming 601km; Dali 200km; Jinjiang 390km; Huaping 221km; Ninglang 221km; Yongsheng 100km and Zhongdian 200km.
Inner city Transportation
1) By Taxi
Passengers may find it easy to hail a taxi in Lijiang, especially near the Mao Square in the early morning. The price of the taxi can be bargained, and the taxi drivers will pick you up on the agreed time at the tourist site.
2) By Bicycle
It is a good choice for visitors to ride a bicycle around the Lijiang Old Town for a leisurely sightseeing. Especially when the visitors want to visit freely to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Jade Peak Temple along the village causeway. Visitors can have free bicycle from some hotels, also, the bicycle can be rented at small shops in Mao Square RMB 7 to 10 per day.
