Baisha Ancient Frescos, also known as Lijiang Frescos, have become rare and precious data for the art and religion study in the history of China. They can be found near the Baisha Old Town on the plain in the north of Lijiang.
The mural was built from 1385 to 1619, and among the Baisha Frescos 44 pieces of them were drawn in the early Ming Dynasty. There are different type's paintings, and most of them are about religious stories of Taoism, Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism. Besides, among them the paintings about Kwan-yin and Sakyamuni are the most famous ones. In addition, the murals are made with different colors, such as the black, green, gold, red, and some other colors.
