Dayan Town also called Lijiang Old Town is surrounded by the tree-covered mountains and crystal clear water runs through the old town. The town was first built in the late South Song Dynasty with a history of more than 800 years. It covers an area of 3.8 square kilometers, and it is 2,400 meters above the sea level.
