Macau Transportations

The convenient and well developed transportation system facilitates greatly the access to Macau. Macau serves as the gateway to mainland China from the South China Sea. Visitors may easily reach centers in southern China like Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and countries on the Pacific Rim by numerous domestic and international flights, ferries and buses.
By Flight
Macau International Airport (MFM) is located on the east side of the outlying island of Taipa. The transfers between the airport and the ferry services are very convenient.
Passengers may take direct flights to most destinations in this region. Scheduled airlines between Macau and cities in mainland China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Haikou, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Fuzhou and Chengdu, Taibei and Gaoxiong in Taiwan are available. Passengers may also take flights to Seoul and Inchon in Korean, Bangkok, Manila, Singapore, and other countries in Southeast Asia. Passengers to other countries in Asia, Europe and America may take connecting flights from this airport, too.

There are three ferry terminals providing schedule ferry services to Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Macau Marine Ferry terminal is located in Porto Exterior, near the reservoir on Avenida da Amizade, east coast of Macau Peninsula, It is also known as Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal, New Macau Ferry Terminal and Terminal Marítimo do Porto Exterior in Portuguese. It is the principle ferry terminal of Macau. Passengers can get to this terminal by city bus API, 10, 10A, 10B and 12 f
rom Barrer Gare to Gongbei Custom, MAcau Airport, Macau Tower and other places of Macau.

Macau Ferry Pier, also known as Macau Inner Harbor Ferry Terminal, is located in the west coast of Macau Peninsula near A Ma Temple. Ferry to Wan Zai Pier of Zhuhai departs with an interval of half a hour from 8:30 - 11:30, 13:30 - 16:30.

Taipa Temporary Ferry Terminal is located on the north side of Taipa island. It is near the Macau International Airport. Ferry to Shenzhen and Hong Kong are available here. There is free shuttle bus from the Venetain to this terminal. From Colpane the city bus No.21, 26 will get to this terminal. Most of the buses are available at Macau Ferry Terminal.

By Long-distance Bus
The two gateways to Guangdong Province from Macau are respectively the Barrier Gate on the borders on Zhuhai and the COTAI Frontier Post at the end of the Lotus Bridge on the island of Taipa.
