Inter City Transportation
1) By Air
Passengers can take flights from Nanjing Lukou International Airport daily flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Wuhan and Hong Kong. Also, there are weekly flights to Xi’an, Chengdu, Zhengzhou and Hangzhou. To get to the airport which is located 35.8 kilometers from the city center, passengers can take the airport shuttles. The shuttles depart every 30 minutes from 7am-6pm, for RMB 25 between the airport and the city. Passengers can also take a taxi, the cost is around RMB 100 to 120.

2) By Train
Nanjing is the starting point of Ninghong and Ningjin lines. Also, Jinghu, Jinpu, Huning, Ningtong and Wangan lines pass through Nanjing. This makes the railway transportation quite well developed in Nanjing. Nanjing Railway Station is located in the northern part of Nanjing city. Passengers can take trains to all major domestic cities.
 
3) By Boat
Nanjing is the largest inland international port in China. Nanjing port has liners to the upper and middle reaches of Yangtze River. Also, there are liners to 188 foreign ports in 78 countries and regions, including Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, etc.

Inner City Transportation
1) By Bus and Subway
The ticket price for normal buses is RMB 1, and RMB 2 for air-conditioned buses. Passengers can pay with an IC card, or 1 yuan coins.

2) By Taxi
Passengers may find it easy to hail a taxi in Nanjing city. The general flag-down fare is RMB 7, and then RMB 2.1 to 2.4 for each extra kilometer.
 
3) By Bicycle
When the weather condition is temperate, it is a good choice for visitors to rent a bicycle and ride around the city for sightseeing.
