Wuhan, abbreviated as “Han”, is the capital of Hubei Province, located in the eastern part of Jianghan plain, the junction of Yangtze River and Han River. It's the largest city in central region, also the center of middle and lower part of Yangtze River in industry, commercial, finance, transportation and culture. Yangtze River and Han River across the city which divide Wuhan into three parts: Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, so Wuhan was also known as “River City” in ancient times.
Wuhan belongs to the northern subtropical monsoon climate, with abundant rainfall and sunshine and distinctive four seasons. Due to the terrain affection, the summer is very hot and got the name of “one of the three furnaces” in China. As a historic and cultural city, the famous scenic spots include the first tower- Yellow Crane Tower, the first bridge of Yangtze River- Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, the largest lake within city- Dong Lake, Buddhist holy site- Guiyuan Temple, hundred years old street- Jianghan Road.
