Wuhan city is divided into three towns: Hankou (economic zone), Wuchan (cultural zone) and Hanyang (tourist zone), of which Hankou is the most prosperous, and known as a shopping paradise. The local specialties in Wuhan include Mahong Cake, Xiaogan Sesame Chips, Jingwu Duck Neck, Blunt-Snout Beam, Hongshan Caitai, Jiangling Archaistic Lacquer, Turquoise Carving, Silk Flower and Wuhan Gong. All of them are appropriate souvenirs.
Turquoise
Turquoise is a sky blue or bluish green semi-precious stone. It is often inlayed on bracelets, rings or necklaces.
Jing Wu's Duck Neck
Cooked with pepper and spices and stewed in a low fire, the spicy Duck Neck is considered a delicacy by Wuhan people. Jing Wu is the most famous duck neck shop in Wuhan.
Xiaogan Cake
Xiaogan cake is made of sticky rice flour, sesame, sugar, and osmanthus. The cake is crisp, sweet and nutritious.
