Inter City Transportation
1) Air
It is only 10 kilometers from Yiwu Airport (YIW) to the northwest of Yiwu City. There are 10 domestic airlines in this airport, with flights to cities like Beijing ,Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Xiamen ,Changsha, Kunming and Shantou. There are also weekly flights to Hong Kong.
There are shuttle buses running between the airport and Yiwu city, with a journey taking only about 20 minutes to reach the downtown area.

2) Train
The new Yiwu Railway Station is located10 kilometers outside of Yiwu. It was opened in 2006. It plays an important part in the transport network in the city. There are trains to Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guangzhou ,Nanjing and many other major domestic cities.

3)  Bus
There are several bus stations in Yiwu city. There are three most useful stations for long-distance travelers. Binwang Passenger Center is the largest station in Yiwu City, passengers can find here buses into several provinces including Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Shandong, Henan, Hebei, Shanxi and Guangdong. There are also several daily buses to Shanghai and buses to Hangzhou departs every 20 minutes.
Buses from Hangzhou arrive at the South Passenger Station. The routes of buses from this station are similar to that of the Binwang Passenger Center. The Jiangdong Passenger Station is the third largest station in Yiwu, the buses from this station mainly head for cities in the south of Zhejiang province.

Inner City Transportation
1)  Bus
There are over 70 bus lines running through

Yiwu and to surrounding towns. The buses which venture out to the smaller towns can be identified by a number 3, which precedes the line number. The bus network starts to open up at around 5.30 am, and shuts down about 6pm. Two kinds of buses run in Yiwu: the normal buses cost RMB 1, while the air-conditioned buses cost RMB 2 per journey. Visitors are advised to buy an IC card if they plan on frequent bus travel which can reduce costs and eliminate the inevitable struggle to find change.

2)  Taxi
Taxis in Yiwu are really quite cheap. Most with the flag-down rate of RMB 5 for the first 2 kilometers, and RMB1.8 per kilometer for the rest distance. The fares of Red Flag taxis and Honda Accords are a little higher. Passengers who do not speak Chinese are advised to have their destinations written in Chinese characters.
