Inter City Transportation
1) Air
The Lotus Airport of Zhangjiajie is in the lotus village, Yong Ding Region, Zhangjiajie, with a distance of 5 kilometers to the downtown area. The airport operate flights to the large and medium domestic cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha and Nanjing. Passengers can get to the airport by taking the NO. 4 bus and the 101 circulating line from the downtown.
2) Train
Zhangjiajie railway station is located 5 kilometers from Zhangjiajie city, opposite the bus station No.1. Passengers can take the No.6 buses from the city center with a fare of RMB 1 to the railway station.
There are trains linking Zhangjiajie with the major and medium domestic cities. Passengers can find trains to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and many other destinations. There are daily trains between Zhangjiajie and Changsha punctually.
3) Bus
Passengers can take buses to the surrounding scenic spots and suburbs at Zhangjiajie long-distance bus station. Buses to Wulingyuan leaves every 5 minutes, with a price of RMB 5 for a one hour’s journey. Buses to River Menglon leaves every 15 minutes, with a price of RMB 15 for a two hours’ journey. There is a special bus to River Maoyan every morning from Xianglong International Hotel.
On 26th ,December, 2006, the express way from Zhangjiajie to Chengde was opened. Also, it takes less than 3 hours from Changsha to Zhangjiajie through the Chang-Zhang Express way, and the journery from the Zhu-triangle to Zhangjiajie costs only around 8 hours.
