Mulan Weichang, which in the past was the Qing imperial hunting grounds, has been well-known since ancient times as a natural park. From Emperor Kangxi to Emperor Jiaqing, the imperial families frequented the grounds over 100 times to enjoy the green grass, clear water, and rare animals and birds living deep in the forest.
Today, the park is still full of natural beauty, with lush green grass and beautiful flowers. Tourists may ride horses, pick flowers, slide down grassy hills, and ski in the winter. Mulan Weichang is located in Weichang Manzu in the Mongolian Autonomous County and covers an area of 1,685 square kilometers, including the Saihanba National Forest Park.
