Tips for Specific Travelers

Nowadays, China has become more convenient for senior and disabled travelers.Such as basic constructions,Blind Road in China cities, barrier-free accessible facilities inside airport and famous attractions and so on. Besides, Chinese people are very kind and friendly.
Here are the some advice to senior and disabled travelers.

Before Departure

1. Choose the sites suitable to you, which means don’t need to spend a lot of strength, don’t need to climb too high or change the transportations frequently.
2. Have physical examination, and obtain the approval of the doctor before to travel, and Sure the accompanier will take care of you.
3. Prepare the medicine that you have at usual times, and other anti- carsickness, anti-hypertensive and anti-diarrhea medicines and so on.
4. Confirm the weather, temperature and climate of destination, bring suitable clothes.
5. Inform the travel agents, what kind of service you need in the attractions, plane car or train, and consult the travel agents the special aspects to pay more attention to.
6. Consult the Airline company, the related policies with taking drugs.
7. Please follow the advice of the travel guides on behalf of any safety, protection of valuables and appropriate actions based on local culture.

What to Carry

Form of travel price, insurance and documents in written.
Carry your passport, visas and various documents separately.
Credit cards and traveler's checks
Note the government’s travel advice and Airline security requirements.
Carry the valuables separately with your accompanier, if your spouse or frienfs travel with you. If possible, leave valuables at home.
Left the copies of your itinerary and list of the valuables at home for your members of family.

Tips

Drink plenty of non-alcoholic drinks to avoid dehydration.
Wear loose, comfortable clothes and walk around in the cabin to help blood circulation.
Take the drugs as the doctor required.
Contact your airline, cruise and hotel in advance and disclose your requirements.
Have the diets in hotels or restaurants with better sanitary environments.

Exit

The following outward passengers shall finish the Baggage Declaration Form and choose the channel marked “GOODS TO DECLARE”Channel and declare all the articles as required:

1. Passengers carrying camera, portable radio-recorder, mini movie-camera, portable video-recorder, portable character-processor, and any other trip necessities which will be taken back to China Customs territory after the trip.
2. Passengers failing to re-export the original of imported articles that should be taken outward or to complete the Customs clearance for temporarily imported duty-free articles.
3. Passengers carrying foreign currencies, gold, silver and ornaments made there of exceed the declared quota or without export licence or certificates.
4. Passengers carrying more than RMB 20,000 in cash.
5. Passengers carrying cultural relics.
6. P assengers carrying goods of commercial value and samples.
7. Passengers carrying articles exceed the limited value and quantity, or other limitations according to the Customs regulations.
8. Passengers carrying animals, plants, and products made thereof which are under the control of China Quarantine Law, or other articles which are required to have inspection before passing through the Customs.

Articles Prohibited from Exportation

1 All the articles within the extension of the prohibited importation

2 Manuscripts, printed matters, films, photographs, gramophone records, cinematographic films, loaded recording tapes , video-tapes ,compact discs (audio and video), storage media for computers and other articles which involve state secrets;
3 Valuable cultural relics and other relics prohibited from exportation;
4 Animals in danger of becoming extinct, rare animals and plants (including respective specimens), their seeds and reproducing materials.

Ⅱ. Articles Restricted From Exportation

1 Gold, silver, precious metals and ornaments made thereof;
2 State currencies;
3 Foreign currencies and valuable securities;
4 Radio transmitter and communication security machines;
5 Valuable Chinese medicinal materials;
6 Ordinary cultural relics;
7 Other articles restricted from exportation by Customs.
