The hotel was formerly the residence of Tang Jingsong, Taiwan grand coordinator of Qing Dynasty. It is decorated in a classical style, with archaic chinaware, famous calligraphy and painting, special tea set, rare root and stone, archaic furniture and stone carving, and so on. The hotel have served many guests, not only some cututral and business celebrites, but also families and travellers, most of them have a good impression of the hotel's convenient location, quiet and elegant environment, modest and human services and so on. A great hotel beyond our expectation, very clean, comfortable and affordable, staff spoke adequate English and the location is so good that overlooing a lake and a 10 minute lakeside stroll to the city centre. Besides, there is teapot collections'exhibition in the lobby and a smeel of incense on the stairs, very nice to find the right hotel with clean room, lakeside views and free internet access. Guilin is the most relaxing Chinese city that worth a trying, and the West Street in Yangshuo is very Westernized and we did love it very much with a cold beer and sit in a little bar there, and it's a pity we just had a day trip in Rice terraces fields, i did prefer to stay there in one or two nights in village.

We stayed here in 2 nights with "queen bed" room, and we did love everything in this hotel, and it proved that this hotel was on of the best hotels we had in the world. The room is quite spacious with a sofa and chair in the sitting room, and there is a special Chinese wooden tea set tray laid out on the coffee table and we were given 2 pounches of tea leaves during checking-in. marvelous chance to practice the tea ceremony, can you? The bathroom is very clean without the sewage smell. The air conditioning works beautifully and it doesn't blow onto your face directly when you are in bed, as well the provided slippers, and it's cool that use the cable at no charge and upload our pictures to our friedns. they really did well in their work.
