Thousand Buddha Mountain Park, located in the south of the urban district, is famous for the Thousand Buddha Mountain. It is one of the three most famous scenes in Jinan.
Thousands Buddha Mountain is firstly called Li Mountain, Mijishan during the period of Chunqiu, Mishan during the Warring States Period, then named Shunshan, Miaoshan, and Shungengshan during Northern and Southern Dynasties.
In the Sui Dynasty, there were many statues of Buddha and formed the Thousand Buddha Temple. In the Tang Dynasty, it was rebuilt and changed to Xingguo Temple. So it became a Holy Land with burning incense. From the Yuan Dynasty, every year there will be a temple fair. After the liberation, there was a park built in 1959. Besides, the odd, deep, large, and elegant mountain ranks from the east to the west. From a distance, it just likes a large silk screen.
