Dear Austen
The coach tour in Beijing was not so worse as we thought before, personally speaking, we, a group of 12 enjoyed very much with a professional guide with decent Spoken English, and comfortable 22 seats coach, very comfortable and relax. However, another truth that cannot neglect that was in the scenic spots, there was a lot of Chinese tourist groups, the guides with microphones and noisy groups made us suffering. The Qianmen Jianguo Hotel was great with a Beijing Opera to see on the 1st floor and a small Beijing opera exhibition hall attached, and our room was OK.

Dear Harriman
One of the highlights of this route was the Forbidden City, and I sure the time we spent with Forbidden City will be a lifelong memory. Every room in Forbidden City has its meaning and purpose, every door has a name and well decorated in deep red, the well decorated furniture, ornaments and dresses stunned us. On the other hand, I did believe that the best way to go through the China history is continuing asking your guides with every details, such as how to realize the stone sundial in front of some rooms, the truth of the famous Zhen concubine well, the last life of the last Emperor, Puyi in Frobidden City etc, then you will find nowhere places in China can compare with Forbidden City.

Dear Mary
Personally, and totally different with my husband Andersen, my favorite part was the Summer Palace in Beijing, which was a perfect combination of mountain, lake and buildings as one summer retreat to Chinese Imperial family. The Kunming Lake took up the three quarters, and the rest were beautiful rocky gardens, palaces, temples and pavilions. Furthermore, our guide taught us that this garden was in typically Jiangnan Garden style actually, but much bigger with some north China’s characteristics, that’s the reason why it is so special and beautiful. Besides, in the garden many tourists assembled on the roads between two entrances, and our guide said that was the fixed routes for the Chinese group tourists actually, for they had short and fixed time by travel agency. We were so lucky to have our own times to enjoy this garden, not have a glance in it.
