Chuandixia Village
Today's Activities:
Our local guide will pick you up from the hotel at 8:30 in the morning and accompany you to the Chuandixia village, which stands along the vital communication line, with convenient transportation to Hebei province and Inner-Mongolia, to tour around the ancient village, hike on the mountains nearby, listen to the stories given by the aged and visit a temple in the village. However, part of the village was seriously damaged during the Japanese Occupation and the Cultural Revolution, and the ruins are still visible there. What's more, after the Reform and Opening up to the rest of the world in 1978, with the development of the railway, express way and advanced mountainous road, the village has lost its strategic significance and not being busy any more. Thus, the village was maintained very well and froze in its history, has become a "living museum" in Beijing
