Dongguan Mosque is one of the four great mosques in Northwest China. It is situated in Dongguan Street of Xining city, covering an area of 11,940 square meters (about 3 acres). Till now it already has a history of more than 600 years. On special occasions or during prayer, there are a large number of prayers congregate here. The Mosque is not only famous for its magnificent architecture, but also as a religious education center and as the highest learning institution of Islam. Now it serves as an educational center for Islamism.
