Hengdian Film and TV Production Base is the biggest film and television shooting base in Asia. It is located in Dongyang County of Jinhua City, covering over 2,400,000 square meters. And it is regarded as ''East Hollywood'', and was constructed in 1996. Many world renowned Chinese movies have been filmed there, including the blockbuster Hero. In total, there have been 143 films and 2,872 TV series filmed at the Hengdian Film and TV Production Base. What's more, it has 12 different areas that are used as different settings for creating Chinese film and television. Now Hengdian Film and TV Production Base has become the first national AAAA-class tourist area.
